Saturnino Jakobe was left in no man's land by his defense there! Amancio Aresti recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 9th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Emilio Txomin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dalmacio Galindo in the 22nd minute of play forced Las Tortugas de Lujan's goalkeeper Atilano Quentin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Amancio Aresti came up free with the goalie in the 24th minute, the Las Tortugas de Lujan fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Amancio Aresti couldn't finish the play. The supporters of Club Atlético Cerveceros booed when Las Tortugas de Lujan was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Amador Chesus didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Club Atlético Cerveceros getting a freekick after 39 minutes play. Ubaldo Maurin hit a great ball. Jeremias Mano's late challenge caught a Las Tortugas de Lujan's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jeremias Mano helped the player get up and apologised. In the 45th minute, Jeremias Mano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After the first half Las Tortugas de Lujan were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Dalmacio Galindo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Club Atlético Cerveceros's Saturnino Jakobe played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Emilio Txomin in the 52nd minute of play. Saturnino Jakobe showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Emilio Txomin, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. 56 minutes into the match, Las Tortugas de Lujan's Amancio Aresti sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Saturnino Jakobe narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Las Tortugas de Lujan's zone, Gregorio Fernandez stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Atilano Quentin came out of the goal and Gregorio Fernandez tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Saturnino Jakobe showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Emilio Txomin, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. In the 66th minute, Club Atlético Cerveceros's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Amancio Aresti fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. After some fancy dribbling in the 69th minute, Emilio Txomin managed to get in a good position for a shot. Las Tortugas de Lujan's supporters rose to their feet, but Emilio Txomin was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Saturnino Jakobe breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Emilio Txomin was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 71st minute. Las Tortugas de Lujan's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Mauricio Bernaldo during the 77th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Mauricio Bernaldo who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 88thth minute tested the skills of Saturnino Jakobe when he managed to save the team from getting behind. The supporters of Las Tortugas de Lujan booed when Club Atlético Cerveceros was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pedro Neto didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Amador Chesus had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 96th minute, Las Tortugas de Lujan's Amador Chesus dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-2. The Las Tortugas de Lujan supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Las Tortugas de Lujan would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
