Leo Dauwen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lex Stoffels in the 11th minute of play. Louis Claevers struck a weak shot in the 14th minute. Leo Dauwen didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Westbeke. In the 15th minute, Louis Claevers hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Brian Hunaerts took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Roni Coryn, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Leo Dauwen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lex Stoffels, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. With a little luck, Westbeke's Brian Hunaerts got control of the ball when Bob Leerbels tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Remie Uytebroeck in the 27th minute of play forced Bacardi FC's goalkeeper Leo Dauwen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 28 minutes Bacardi FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Ganga Ban who took care of the corner kick. In the 30th minute Remie Uytebroeck shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leo Dauwen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Westbeke's Brian Hunaerts proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 36th minute of the match, managed to save Westbeke from getting a goal against them. The audience thought a goal was coming when Diederik Vergouwen got free with Brian Hunaerts in the 38th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 39th minute of the match Waldemar Custódio shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Brian Hunaerts showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 43rd match minute, Bacardi FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Falko Schlender to maneuver through the defense. In the 44th minute Remie Uytebroeck shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leo Dauwen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When %teams%'s Roni Coryn was free in front of goal, he didn't hesitate to shoot 2-0 just inside the left pole, 46 minutes into the game. Brian Hunaerts was annoyed at himself for letting in the shot.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Lex Stoffels was the one to do the kick off. In the 67th match minute, Westbeke was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jens van Haghten to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 69th minute, Roni Coryn managed to get in a good position for a shot. Bacardi FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Roni Coryn was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Brian Hunaerts breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 72 minutes into the match, Westbeke's goal looked a bit too open when Roni Coryn came free, but Brian Hunaerts reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Leo Dauwen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Louis Claevers, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. Leo Dauwen was a little too slow when Louis Claevers got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 80th minute. The score was now 2-1. Leo Dauwen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lex Stoffels in the 84th minute of the match. A collision led to Bacardi FC getting a freekick after 88 minutes play. Torsten Åkesson hit a great ball. 91 minutes into the match, Bacardi FC's goal looked a bit too open when Lex Stoffels came free, but Leo Dauwen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
